As It Dissolves Away - A Picture Poem by Lē Weaver

text of the picture poem:

As it dissolves away
I am drawn to the trailing strands
Of feeling your depth.

My hold on the images
The expectancy in your early reflection
The grasping of your obsession
The tightening of the brow following truth
Is softening.

Your breadth is replaced by the memory
Of how deeply you cut
When moved to consummate
Those fearful illusions.

My feelings around and through
Are uncertain.

My hands reach
Toward silence
Palms up in supplication
Toward violence
Fists clenched in fury
Toward diffidence
Skin pallid and trembling.

Knowing
As it dissolves away
I am drawn to the trailing strands
Of feeling your depth.
